Heroscape is an expandable turn-based miniature wargaming system originally manufactured by Milton Bradley Company, and later by Wizards of the Coast, both subsidiaries of Hasbro, Inc., and discontinued by Hasbro in November 2010. The game is played using pre-painted miniature figures on a board made from interlocking hexagonal tiles that allow for construction of a large variety of 3D playing boards.

Stephen Menton will provide a demo and training in the hour before the tournament starts. He will also serve as both TO and head judge for the tournament.
Armies are 500 points, 16 spaces, no Marvel. Many preconstructed tournament armies (based on recent tournaments) will be available or you may bring your own. Proxy units (Repaints standing in for promos) are allowed. Unofficial units are not allowed.Players using provided armies will roll d20 for selection order.Players may not change armies between rounds. The same army must be used all 3 rounds.
Maps for round 1 and 2 are chosen from Battlefields of Valhalla, modified if needed for space. Different maps will be used each round. Round 3 will have a unique map for the tournament. If a map has glyphs they will be chosen and placed at random from the following set: 1x Dagmar, 1x Lodin, 2x Proftaka, 1x Erland, 1x Kelda, 1x Nilrend, 2x Oreld.Any terrain feature rules will be clearly identified before each round. No unofficial or house rules will be applied.
Dice and markers will be provided.
Format is single battle, single elimination. Rounds are 50 minutes. If there is no winner by the end of the round the winner will be decided by army point values remaining. Incomplete squads will score based on units remaining, rounded down.Pairings and assigned maps will be random for rounds 1 and 2. Players will roll d20 at the start of the round to decide which player chooses starting zone and places their army first. Then their opponent places their army.
Prizes will be provided for the top 4 players. Prizes are used figures (and cards) for 3rd and 4th, sealed blister packs for 1st and 2nd.
